With over 30 years of experience in the marine industry, Casey Auten is a seasoned marine surveyor and insurance investigator. Founder of Professional Marine Surveyors now serving clients for over 25 years. He has successfully completed more than 8,000 surveys and damage inspections, establishing himself as a trusted authority in the field. Casey’s expertise extends across a diverse range of vessels, including powerboats, houseboats and sailboats of all sizes.
Casey holds the prestigious Accredited Marine Surveyor (AMS) designation from the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS) and the Certified Marine Investigator (CMI) designation from the International Association of Marine Investigators (IAMI). He is a graduate of Chapman’s School of Seamanship and is an active member of the American Boat & Yacht Council, reflecting his dedication to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and continuous development in marine surveying.
Captain Bob Files AMS, CMI
Captain Bob Files is a Certified Marine Investigator (CMI) with the International Association of Marine Investigators (IAMI) and a Accredited Marine Surveyor (AMS) with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS). With extensive experience in the powerboat industry, Bob brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. He is a licensed United States Coast Guard (USCG) Captain, complemented by years of management experience within the marine sector.
As the owner of Pro Captain Staffing, a licensed captain staffing company located in North Texas, Captain Bob is dedicated to ensuring that clients have a safe and enjoyable experience on the water. His commitment to excellence and professionalism in marine services makes him a valuable asset in the industry.
Robin Nilsson, SA
Robin Nilsson is a dedicated marine surveyor and a valuable member of our team, having joined us in 2023. A lifelong passion for boats inspired Robin to pursue a career in marine surveying after relocating from Sweden to Texas. He is a graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship, where he earned his Standards certification from the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC).
In addition to his formal education, Robin is an active member of the International Association of Marine Investigators (IAMI) and serves as a Survey Associate with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS). Since beginning his apprenticeship with Professional Marine Surveyors, Robin has gained extensive hands-on experience surveying a diverse range of vessels, including powerboats, sailboats, and houseboats. His commitment to excellence and passion for marine surveying position him as an emerging professional in the industry.
